Volunteer Application
Teen Leadership Program Application
Volunteering at CHOM is a great way to support the museum and its mission while also having fun! CHOM volunteers are students and retirees, homemakers and business people. Volunteers assist the staff with school programming and special events and work behind the scenes in the office. Schedules are flexible and training is provided.
For more information about these and any other volunteer, intern, or workstudy opportunities at CHOM, contact Sherie Giles at (205) 349-4235 or e-mail receptionist@chomonline.org.

SCHOOL AND CIVIC GROUP VOLUNTEERS
Have your group take on volunteering at CHOM as a service opportunity! Our staff can train your volunteers and keep track of their hours so you don’t have to! CHOM currently has several school Key Club groups and other civic groups as regular volunteers.

TEEN LEADER PROGRAM
During the summer CHOM offers a special intensive leadership and volunteer program for teens 14-17. The Teen Leader Program offers students an opportunity to work behind and in front of the scenes in all areas of museum work while building their leadership and communication skills.

INTERN AND WORK STUDY PROGRAM
CHOM offers a variety of intern and work study opportunities for college and high school students. Successful CHOM interns have come from all areas of study including elementary education, early childhood education, public relations, museum studies, archeology, history, American Studies and more.
