Positions Available |
Administrative Assistant:
Full time position. Part-time may be considered. Starting $35,000 with benefits.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications include:
► High school diploma or the equivalent required; college degree or higher education preferred; may
substitute relevant experience for educational background. Experience in non-profit organizations a
plus.
►Enthusiasm for our mission to provide learning through play to children, families and students.
►Independent thinking skills; diplomacy; flexible thinking; powerful organizational and time
management skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
►Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; ability to work with minimal supervision.
►Excellent written and oral communication skills.
►Strong database management skills; intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook,
Canva, and Publisher (Publisher may also be learned on the job). Ability to filter, sort, create, organize,
merge data in Excel and Word. Experience in CRM donor management systems preferred; experience
with Altru by Blackbaud a plus.
►High energy and interest while effectively interacting with staff, volunteers, donors, board members
and the general public discussing problems or needs while handling concerns and issues tactfully,
courteously and effectively
►Ability to work within a flexible team environment
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
►General office and administrative assistance for the Executive Director and work with Board of
Directors as needed.
►Assist in fundraising events, preparation, bulk and small mailings
►Maintain accurate donation records, acknowledgements, data entry, and correspondence
►Record donations and acknowledgements, maintain donor records.
►Maintain museum master mailing list and email list for digital newsletter.
►Attend and participate in museum fundraising events
►Maintain all contacts, data and museum information with professional confidentiality.

and cash handling. Preferably a full-time position, however an hourly part-time position is possible.
Qualifications and responsibilities include exceptional customer service and professional demeanor for
reception/front desk; experience with operating cash register or the ability to master upon instruction;
answer and direct phone using multi-line telephone; and provide some sales; computer skills in
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; must be welcoming and friendly to general public and school
groups with a diverse audience; detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
enthusiastic and welcoming demeanor; presents positive interaction with children and adults to ensure
informative and creative experiences at the Museum; communicates in a friendly, courteous, respectful
manner.
Requires moderate physical effort including physical and mental stamina necessary in interacting with
people for long periods of time. Requires high energy and interest interacting with visitors while
stationary and/or moving throughout the museum. Moves frequently about the Museum attending to
programs and must be able to stand for extended periods, bend and safely lift up to 30 pounds,
occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
