Educational Field Trips

The cost is $3.00 per student in the Tuscaloosa City and County Schools, and $5.00 per student for all other school systems and groups. One adult is required for every ten students in your group, and will be admitted free. Any additional adult will be charged the field trip admission price.

Exhibit Experiences engage a class in a variety of educational activities in five of CHOM’s permanent exhibits. Exhibit experiences can accommodate up to 60 children and last 1.5 hours.

In-Depth Experiences

Pre-K are available. Topics include the arts, social studies, sciences, and technology. Each program lasts 1 hour and can accomodate a maximum of 20 children.

Grades K-5 offer curriculum-based programs in the arts, social studies, sciences, and technology for grades K-5 and correspond directly to the Alabama Course of Study, with correlations to the SAT 10, and AMSTI. ARMT components are available to take back to classrooms as an extension or follow up activity. Grades K-5 In-depth Experiences can accommodate up to a maximum of 30 children and last 1.5 hours.
